Teaching PGCert Change Management University of Brighton

Global Intellectual (GI) is the “Authorised Agent” of the University of Brighton, United Kingdom for various teaching and research activities in association with Brighton Business School, the Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM) and the Institute of Change Management (IoCM).

Brighton Business School is a leading European centre for business, accountancy, and management training and education. It has built strong links with both local businesses and with many large national and international companies. These contacts regularly offer placements to delegates and employment after graduation. The school recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and the university has been running business and management courses for nearly 40 years. The school have around 1,500 full-time students, 1,000 part-time students and 120 highly qualified academic staff. The school extensive applied research and consultancy activity ensures that these courses are up to date, relevant and serve the needs of both students and employers. The School has over 70 research-active staff and has an established development programme to support both active and new researchers. Knowledge generation is vital for the school teaching and the school’s research activity keeps courses up to date, interesting and relevant. The latest Research Assessment Exercise (2008) shows that 70 per cent of the school business and management research is of international standing or higher. Twenty per cent of the school research in business and management studies received the top 4-star rating, which ranks the school as one of the top 15 UK business schools in terms of world-leading research outputs.

Brighton Business School is also home to the Centre for Research in Innovation Management (CENTRIM) which develops new knowledge and understanding of how innovation works in practice. Established over 23 years ago, CENTRIM’s is one of the world’s top five technology and innovation management centres. CENTRIM works with partners in industry and government to provide insights into innovation dynamics, and to help improve the innovation performance of organisations worldwide. Recent work has included research into the Heathrow Terminal 5 development; Eurostar and other complex development projects; and Profitnet, a development and support network for businesses.

The University of Brighton is the base for Europe's first professional body dedicated exclusively to managers charged with organisational change. The Institute of Change Management (IoCM), joins just two other organisations in the world committed to leading in the development of the profession. Built by change management professionals for change management professionals, the institute aims to set the standards of professional practice and consistency around change management across Europe.
